The Watkins School of Dance was formed by Graham and Avril Watkins in 1979 in Dudley West Midlands.

Graham and Avril have been qualified teachers since the school opened and have trained British Champions as Juvenile, and Juniors in the Classical Sequence branch of dancing.  Trained successful formation teams, and are now teaching Ballroom, Latin American, Classical (Old Time) and Sequence Dancing, from beginner to champion!

Avril and Graham are also very successful inventors of New Sequence Dances with over 40 prize winning dances. 

These include the very popular Heartbeat Tango, Silver Wedding Waltz, Waltz Monet, Winter Gardens Waltz and the and very popular Birmingham Blues.and Times Square Tango.

The latest of these is the very popular Watkins Waltz from ISDC September 2010
